About Snap Store Updates

Snap Store Updates tracks changes in the Canonical Snap Store. It syncs the full snap catalogue every 15 minutes and records what's new and what's changed.

How it works

The site syncs the full catalogue from the public Snap Store API every 15 minutes and currently tracks over 10,000 snaps. Category mappings are synced daily. There's no account or login required — it's a read-only view of what's happening in the store.

Activity charts

Charts use UTC calendar days, including the partial current day. New and updated counts show distinct snaps detected per day in completed syncs, rather than their publication dates. The initial catalogue import is excluded from new counts. Days without a completed sync have unknown activity. Total tracked counts all snaps first seen, including those no longer in the store. Charts cover the available tracking history and refresh on subsequent page loads after syncs, subject to the five-minute page cache.
