Narrowband SETI survey and hydrogen line with a dish and an SDR
Point the dish, plug in the SDR, press Start. Aquila streams the receiver
through a fine FFT, searches every block for drifting narrowband signals and
keeps only the hits and small pictures. The same observation gives calibrated
hydrogen line plots. Raw samples never touch the disk, memory is fixed and
disk use is capped, so a node runs for months on a Raspberry Pi.
Works with Airspy, HydraSDR, RTL-SDR and HackRF (the vendor tools are
included). Several nodes can be watched from one desktop over the network.
Connect the "raw-usb" interface once so the app can open the receiver:
sudo snap connect aquila-radio-astronomy:raw-usb
