Calendar and date utility for the Linux desktop and terminal

# JW Calendar

An offline-first calendar and date utility for Linux. Browse month and year
layouts, inspect ISO week and day-of-year details, and convert civil dates
without relying on an internet connection.

## Calendar tools

See month grids with Sunday or Monday week starts and a compact year view.
The desktop window lets you move between months, select dates, and inspect
date details beside the calendar.

## Command line

``
jwcalendar month 2027 1
jwcalendar year 2027
jwcalendar date 2027-01-01
jwcalendar day-of-year 2027-07-01
jwcalendar holidays 2027
``

## Date conventions

Date arithmetic is timezone independent. ISO week-year boundaries follow
ISO-8601. The Julian calendar, Julian Day Number, and ordinal day-of-year are
separate tools with distinct labels. The holiday command lists US federal
holidays and marks observed dates.

## Privacy

Calendar calculations run locally. No account is needed, and the app does not
collect analytics or transmit personal calendar data.
