Powerful open-source relational database management system

MySQL is the world's most popular open-source relational database management system, powering many of the world's most accessed applications, including Amazon, Netflix, Uber, and many more. It delivers a multi-threaded, multi-user, and robust SQL database server for mission-critical, heavy-load production systems. MySQL is fast, reliable, and powerful.

Commands:

- mysql-strict.mysql
- mysql-strict.mysqladmin
- mysql-strict.mysqldump
- mysql-strict.mysqlimport

Tip: For convenience, you can create an alias using snapd's alias feature.

 sudo snap alias mysql-strict.mysql mysql

Note: By default, this snap uses the authsocket plugin, similar to the deb version. Therefore, sudo is required to authenticate the MySQL root user.

 sudo mysql

To log in with a password instead (using mysql -u root -p), execute the following SQL statement (change YOUR
NEWPASS below with a strong password):

 ALTER USER 'root'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED WITH cachingsha2password BY 'YOURNEW_PASS';
