Open Geotechniek Studio

Open Geotechniek Studio is a desktop application for Dutch geotechnical
work: CPT soundings, boreholes, projects, and site drawings on a single
CAD sheet.

Soundings & boreholes:
- GEF 1.x and BRO XML (CPTO / CPTO_DP) parsers
- Live charts of cone resistance (qc), local friction (fs), friction ratio
(Rf), and pore pressure (u2)
- Robertson SBT soil-behavior-type classification per layer
- BHR borehole data from BRO XML, with soil-layer visualization
(conforming to the Dutch NEN5104 standard)

Map & live data:
- Interactive map with direct BRO integration — load an area and every
sounding and borehole around the visible viewport is fetched
automatically
- Kadaster aerial imagery, BAG buildings, cadastral boundaries, AHN
elevation, BGT topography, and historical aerial photos (2016-2025) as
toggleable overlays

Reporting & drawings:
- Professional PDF sounding reports: cover page, coordinate table,
overview map, per-sounding pages, Robertson SBT legend, metadata
- Site drawings on A2/A3 CAD paper with a professional title block and
automatic scale-fit
- Request quotes: automatically picks the 3 nearest sounding companies
from a catalog of 43 Dutch companies and opens a pre-filled quote
request in your mail client

Open Geotechniek Studio is free and open source (MIT), part of the
OpenAEC Foundation family of applications, and built with Tauri for a
small, native footprint.
