Shadow of the beast legacy

A man named Aarbron is kidnapped as a child and corrupted through magic into a monstrous warrior-servant for the evil beast lord Maletoth. The creature’s memory of his human life returns when he watches a man being executed, whom he later recognizes as his father. This prompts Aarbron to seek revenge on Maletoth.

Languages: de, en, fr, it. This snap embeds the 2019 release, it is the remake of a 1989 game on Amiga computer, made with GameMaker.

Bugs:

• no sound then freeze on exit (must kill the process 'runner' from terminal). But all OK on second run.
• AMD GPU/IGP: the game does crash when loading.

The default controls are:

• Cursor - move
• Z - Fire
• X - Jump
• C - cycle through weapons (when you get another one)
• Enter - pause
• Esc - (once) kill self, (twice) - quit game
