WPE WebKit [1] is a lightweight, embedded-focused port of the WebKit browser engine with hardware acceleration and strong multimedia support.

This snap packages WPE WebKit, the FDO graphics backend, and the Cog [2] web app container in a ready-to-use kiosk mode. Requires ubuntu-frame on Ubuntu Core, or a compatible Wayland compositor on desktop systems.

On Core systems, the browser runs as a service and automatically restarts after compositor refreshes.
On desktop systems, launch manually with wpe-webkit-kiosk.cog.
